Api-Bioxal® Powder is a highly effective oxalic acid treatment designed to assist beekeepers in the control of Varroa mite in honey bee colonies. Suitable for both hobbyist and commercial operations, this versatile formulation can be used in either dribble (trickle) or vaporisation (sublimation) applications, making it a flexible addition to your Varroa management program.
Containing oxalic acid dihydrate as the active ingredient, Api-Bioxal® works through direct contact with phoretic mites on adult bees, helping to significantly reduce mite loads and support strong, healthy colonies.

Directions for Use
Api-Bioxal® Powder can be applied using one of the following methods:
1. Dribble (Trickle) Method

Dissolve the required amount of Api-Bioxal® Powder in sugar syrup as per label instructions

Apply using a syringe or applicator at a rate of 5ml per seam of bees

Gently trickle the solution directly onto bees between frames

Best applied when colonies are broodless or have minimal brood
2. Vaporisation (Sublimation) Method

Use an approved oxalic acid vaporiser device

Apply the recommended dose per hive as per equipment and label guidelines

Ensure hive entrances are sealed during treatment and for a short period after application
