How It Works
Bayvarol® contains flumethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid that targets Varroa destructor mites on adult bees. It targets the nervous system of the Varroa mite, causing fatal failure and muscle spasms. As bees move naturally throughout the colony, they come into contact with the strips and transfer the active ingredient across the hive. This method ensures consistent exposure for mites while remaining gentle on bees when used according to the manufacturers label instructions.

When to Use Bayvarol®
Bayvarol® is best applied:

In early spring to give colonies a strong, healthy start.

Post-honey harvest as part of an annual Varroa management strategy.

Whenever mite loads begin to rise and immediate, dependable knockdown is needed.
Directions for Use

Apply 4 strips per brood chamber (standard 10-frame box).

Hang strips between brood frames, ensuring good bee movement around each strip.

Leave in place for 6 to 8 weeks only—do not exceed the recommended treatment duration.

Rotate treatments annually with other actives (e.g., formic acid, oxalic acid, Apivar) to minimise resistance development.
