The second photo here Is the exact moment I realised I was supposed to buy a hive mat! Hive mats are essential to prevent burr comb from being built from the roof of the hive.
Waggle & Forage hive mats have been cut to industry standard size, however you can easily cut smaller depending on personal preference.
