Whilst bees generally don't like plastic in their hive, plastic foundation sheets are often used by commercial beekeepers as an affordable alternative to pure beeswax foundations. Waggle & Forage recommend covering your plastic foundations with a light coating of pure beeswax to encourage your bees to start building comb.
Best used on frames containing both a grooved top and bottom bar.
